Lapices and Planeos

29 August and 5 September 2026

For the next 2 weeks, we’ll explore these beautiful circular movements — from finding our axis and alignment and refining our elegance, to adding our own flavour through creative styling.

We’ll look at the conversation between partners: how planeos and lápices can be led/followed versus how they can become decorations that add your own voice to the dance.

Finally, we’ll explore different sequences, mixing and playing with all the ingredients.

Suitable for Improver/Intermediate dancers. No partner needed!

Two Sundays with Kim exploring followers’ adornments.

Develop an essential ‘make-up kit’ for tango—lápices, punteos, rulos and other elegant decorations—and discover when and how to apply them naturally.

Suitable for Improver/Intermediate dancers. No partner needed!
